who loves you?

the toronto premiere was even better. i tried to find a video of it but couldn't because it's so brand spanking new. seriously i can't get franki valli songs out of my head--- and i don't mind that one bit! yes, classics are great.

tv on the radio is awesome-- as maria has kindly pointed out. i personally recommend the Bryan Hyde remix of 'staring at the sun.' it adds a tad bit more danceability to the song, which is always a good thing.

other then heading back to uni-- i'm looking forward to the kings of leon album coming out the sept. 23,

here is a little taste of the glory

an ode

dear romina,

i liked tv on the radio when i first heard staring at the sun in second year.
then i liked them even more when i stumbled upon their wolf like me video on muchmusic.
seeing them in concert probably turned my like into a little love.
hearing that their latest album was going to be called dear science made me smile.
after having listened to their latest single online , i realized my love is going to last forever.

lovingly,
maria

dear romina,

classic!

rominaaa, i bet you didn't know that i stole a bottle of wine from the basement and am drinking in my room.

deviously,

maria

two.

okay! so, i'm finally posting a reply to maria's last post which she did considerably fast after our first one together!
kudos to maria for mentioning m.ward (his voice is the epitome of sensitive man, i recommend his cover of 'let's dance'), as well as mentioning manga, which i really want to get into!

but back to all things me-- last night i saw avenue q at Elgin Theatre on Yonge in Toronto-- very entertaining i laughed and totally enjoyed the show moreso because my lovely friends got us $100 tickets for $30. i highly recommend the play, offensive and cute in all the right ways.

apparently, i have become addicted to the british. whether it be their tv shows (skins, extras), their witty books or their new wavey music.

music-wise, this summer i've been listening to the relaxed tunes of shwayze. i also found dr. dog to work well as cruising around music.
i'm gonna go soak up some sun-- while its still here, it's already becoming sooo cold, yuck!

some great comic genius in summer heights high

one and a half

so this might be a little soon for a second post, but i wanted to share the things roro and i picked up at the book store today with the world

1. nana - i want to get into girly romantic manga and this seems like a good place to start.

ummm romina has the other books in her room and i dont remember what they are called, maybe she can fill you in?

anyway, here are other things i like right now:

1. the kinks
2. m. ward - roro and i saw she & him at the phoenix a couple weeks ago. although, zooey deschanel was absolutely delightful, the impenetrable m. ward with his whispery, velvety voice stole the show and my heart.

ummmm when i was originally thinking about what to blog, i had a huge list of things in my head and now i don't remember anything.

ummm so maybe this post isn't worthy of posting just yet.

OH i thought of more things to add to the quasi-list.

-joss whedon's buffy: season eight comic - i'm addicted, like "going to the comic book store every week to check if a new issue has been released" addicted
- brian K. vaughan, especially ex machina

as you can see, i am really into comics right now.

does it have anything to do with the mini crush i have on one of the boys who works at the comic book store that i frequent? ahem, perhaps...

OH and im watching beck like cah-ray-zee

also the wire. romina, START WATCHING THE WIRE ASAP! i want to talk about it with you.

list of favourite characters:

1. omar
2. snoop, bodie
3. mcnulty

there, that is all for now.

one.

romina said we should make our first post together and my response was "lame" but then she said "we have to" and i acquiesced.

so it was written so it shall be done- we shall share with the world all that is good like nacho libre

romina, that doesn't make any sense.

our mom wants to know who we're talking to online.

this all started like the babysitters club as a bright idea- we wanted to share with each other our thoughts and likes through this magical tool called the internet, hence the blog.

romina just wants to use the word hence because she just watched a preview of the house bunny starring anna faris (a movie that i am actually SO excited to see. anna faris is, um, awesome. i have found the majority of movies she is in to range from funny to hilarious.)

this is kind of awkward because i am typing in front of romina and she is breathing very heavily.

we shall end our very first post, the first and last one together, with a little tribute to a great eighties group

we highly recommend tracing the thirty year plus history of the band via youtube clips. the visual maturity of the boys is extremely entertaining.

well, that's all for now.

um, how do we end this, roro?

aveda-ZING!
that is german for goodbye, thanks heidi klum for that lesson.

sure, whyyyy not.
