MARIA! i don't know what shocks me more, the fact that zac efron will destroy the footloose movie OR that it is snowing a ridiculous amount here in london!! seriously, winter has arrived and it's not even past halloween! i'm kind of tempted to go out and play....

rom,

umm i wish i was creative and patient enough to make something like this.

you better be studying.

also, list of halloween costume ideas:

1. sarah palin's pregnant daughter bristol. (i need someone to dress up as my hick hockey player hubbie.)
2. april from teenage mutant ninja turtles (an old idea of mine, does it still have staying power?)
3. catwoman from the retro batman show (stolen from a girl at comicon)

i dont know. not feeling very creative right now.

stefano told me he's going to dress up as xena. and his group of guy friends are dressing up as "sexy halloween costumes", like the "sexy nurse" and "sexy red riding hood." genius! dressing up as a halloween costume, love it.

sincerely,
mar

dear maria, i miss you like those italian kinder suprises!

maria!
i'm so behind on life! but i've come to make up for it by saying... your movie looks phenomenal; i'm not so interested in the twilight hype (because i cannot replace harry potter); i started watching true blood with anna paquin and though she is kinda annoying especially in the first couple episodes i've began to quite enjoy the show; I hate her name in the show, soo-kie, because the way everyone says it over and over again angers me; recently I've been listening to remixes by ratatat, which i love. I need some new music in my life, any suggestions?; Halloween is next week, what is your costume idea?

peace,
romina

hey romina,

remember last night while at the club, bottle full of bub, i was telling you about the opening film at the toronto after dark film fest?

Let The Right One In is a delicate love story about a bullied blond-haired little boy..... and swedish vampires.

there has been a lot of hype over this film in the past year and after seeing it finally, i can say the attention is well-deserved. we both know how much i love vampire movies but this... this was something else. clever, finespun, visually poignant and wry, with a dash of gore and an elegiac ending that will make your heart ache. its only downfall was the length. at the two hour mark, my legs began to cramp and you could tell the audience was getting shifty. the fact that bloor cinema was PACKED and we were sitting on the balcony at the very back surrounded by hot and sticky people didn't help either.

you must see this film. there was a reason the show was sold out. i heard that some relatively big shot director is going to remake it a la quarantine for north american audiences. absolutely RIDICULOUS. just read the subtitles, people.

see the movie, before it is ruined with a remake.

(vampire)bat crazy,

maria

ps have yet to see twilight... i don't think it will compare to let the right one in at all but i am SO excited to see this thing here. i feel its going to be like what lost boys: the tribe should have been.

p.p.s. martiniboys should hire me.

fyi, romina.

two of my favourite people-in-the-world-whom-i-have-never-met, spike jonze and dave eggers, have combined powers and created a movie adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are.

where the wild things are is a dark and disturbingly awesome short story that would translate so well to the silver screen, especially in the hands of the director who created these and the author who wrote this.

the movie was suppose to have come out this month but the brothers of warner delayed its release because it was too weird. here is some old footage that actually looks and feels nothing like the movie soooo probably a waste of time to watch.

supposedly at the secret test screening, children cried and asked their parents to leave.

umm.. AWESOME? seeing as the monsters in the story once gave my six year old self nightmares, their responses seem more then appropriate and perhaps stand testament to the truthfulness of the adaptation.

the millions of dollars budgeted movie is now being re-shot by mr. jonze and expected to come out in 2009.

booooo reshoots.

thanking goldblum it's friday,

maria

p.s. i hate people who baby children and talk to them like they're idiots. kids are smart. they can handle a lot more then their stupid parents think they can.
p.p.s. home alone mom catherine o'hara voices a character in the film. hilarious!

rominoff,

i always wondered why mom would get mad at me whenever i sang this song.

I love your body
Not so much I like your mind
In fact you're boring
Pretend not being of my kind
You keep on talking of some girl that I don't know
When will you shut up and when will we go

and then there's THIS....

minimizing youtube at work,
